It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is here again! The holidays are sneaky like that. They always seem to come when you least expect them, even though you know exactly when to expect them.

Thanksgiving is a big interruption for NaNoWriMo, but… it’s not like I’m going to finish Wide Awake this month anyway. That ship has sailed. I’m trying not to look at it as a failure. More like, an overestimation of what I am currently capable of. I’ve never been a “fast” writer. I can’t really write unless I feel it. I mean, I can, but it’s all garbage.

I did manage to come up with several new plot points, complete an outline (which I did not have previously) and I got down quite a bit of important, skeletal gibberish I can work around. All that remains is fleshing out the story and making it beautiful! Easy peasy, right? Right? Guys?

Anyway, this was never meant to be a long or meaningful blog… Just a quick check in and an opportunity to say Happy Thanksgiving! Oh, and give a quick PSA. This black Friday, consider buying from indie authors! And if you don’t want to do that, at least check out some independent bookstores!
