So I discovered something kinda of horrible this weekend. I’ve discovered that, suddenly, I can’t write if I’m really into a book. I get lost in someone else’s world and can’t find my way back to mine.
There are a number of reasons why this is horrible:
1) I don’t want to have to choose between reading and writing
2) I don’t want to have to choose between reading and writing
3) I don’t want to have to choose between reading and writing
I’m curious if anyone else in the writing world has experienced this problem? This is fairly new to me, and I’m wondering what changed? In the past I have been inspired by films or books to write amazing characters. Alison and Quinn are certainly based off a NUMBER of pre-existing characters (as shown on my Instagram) and usually reading hasn’t been a hindrance.
