What could be more fun than coming down with an illness in the middle of a summer heatwave? Oh I know! How about hearing the exceptionally exciting news that there is potential to be laid off soon from the day job? Both are a smashing good time. It’s impossible to choose!

Alright, alright. I don’t wish to come off as a bitter person, but boy it has been a day. I suppose the best thing to do in this situation is to focus on the positives. So here we go:

If this illness turns into a full blown cold, I will have no choice but to cancel all my plans, stay indoors in the air conditioner, drink hot tea and read and/or write. That doesn’t sound so bad! Sure, enjoying the summer weather would be more ideal, but the alternative is pleasant too.

If I end up being laid off from my day job, I suppose I will have an abundance of time to work on the author dream. Write, promote, write, promote, write, promote… If that happens, it will be extremely important you all check out my stuff, review, comment and show some love!
